EMN Presidium's Member Alexandru-Vladimir Ciurea has been nominated as the Second Vice-President of the WFNS.

EMN member Dr. med. Hans-Georg Imhof was elected as President of the Swiss Society of Neurosurgery.
Majid Samii  elected as Founding President for the Congress of International Neurosurgeons (MASCIN)
Majid Samii was elected as Founding President for the Congress of International Neurosurgeons (MASCIN) on February 25th, 2003 in Hannover.

Klaus von Wild appointed to a professorship at the INI (Hannover)
Klaus von Wild was appointed to a professorship for Functional Neurorehabilitation in Neurosurgery and Re-Engineering in Brain and Spinal Cord Lesions at the International Neuroscience Institute (INI, Hannover). 
Here he will organize the annual meeting of the WFNS Committe for Functional Rehabilitation in Neurosurgery as 3rd symposium on Functional Neurorehabilitation in Neurosurgery and Re-Engineering in Brain and Spinal Cord Lesions, June 16-19,2004.
German Federal Cross of Merit awarded to Annegret Ritz
The Major of the City of Bremen, Henning Scherf awards the German Federal Cross of Merit to Annegret Ritz

Alexander Potapov elected as a member of the Russian Academy of Medical Sciences
Zbigniew Czernicki,  Director of the medical Research Centre of the Polish Academy of Siences.
