Pathophysiological Principles and Controversies in Neurointensive Care

Congress President Prof. Klaus R.H. von Wild was pleased to welcome more than 100 participants from all parts of Europe. In the Castle of the Westfälische Wilhelms-Universität around forty lectures were held by specialists from Austria, Belgium, Germany, Italy, Norway, Poland, Rumania, Russia, Sweden, Switzerland, the United Kingdom and the USA. The second memorial lecture in honour of the deceased member of the Presidium Prof. J. D. Miller (Edinburgh) was held by Prof. A. Bricolo, Verona/Italy. The theme was: Past, present and future in neurotraumatology.

The lectures of the second EMN Congress have been published in English by the W. Zuckschwerdt Verlag, in November 1997.
